I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
